Evelyn is Exasperated
I've been trying to keep a food log for about a week now and I can't say that I'm too happy with the results. I thought that it would shame me into eating less and healthier. In a sense it has - many times at night I feel like nibbling an 'extra little something' but refrained because I had already clocked up the total. However, I find it discouraging at the same time. It seems that no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get down to 1200 calories, mainly because to do that I can only eat 2 complete meals a day.This brings me back to my secondary school years when I could just wake up, go to school without breakfast, come home and eat a couple of spoonfuls or rice and dishes and go to bed. After that I'd go to some tuition or something like that and come home for dinner, which would be another couple of spoonfuls of rice. Then at night I'd eat cookies/various junk without even thinking about it and I was happy. And thin. After I came to Australia and was admonished into 'eating healthily' i.e. 3 complete meals a day, things just went downhill from there.
Blah...
1 1/2 swiss roll - 300 calories
1 slice bread & kaya with = 200 calories
1 slice kuih lapis = 150 calories
1/2 plate nasi lemak = 400 calories
1/2 cup gelati = 200 calories
1 plate penne carbonara = 700 calories
Total = 1950 calories (argh!!!)

I eat whatever I want, whenever I want. The key to losing weight is not to eat carb. Time to say bye to your yummy dessert hehe :p
