Balancing Act

I check my bank balance every two weeks just to make sure that I'm not overspending or doing anything too crazy. However, it still doesn't save me from the shock factor when I click and see numbers that I just cannot believe.

Then the excruciating pain of looking at the bank statement to see where the money went to starts. The top I forgot I bought, the ridiculous phone bill, the dessert buffet, tickets, eyebrow shaping...etc.

On top of that, I've taken to eating out all the time nowadays - mainly because I don't want to have anything to do with my house kitchen (long story that shall be told another day along with the rest of my grievances about this residence) and also because I'm lazy. Also because if I have food lying around in the house I am more likely to snack and consequently get fat. However, I suddenly realize the need to stop eating out. When I eat out I can easily spend 30 bucks a day just on food without even trying, depending on what I choose to eat.

Must start cooking at home again.
